finals week!

So, today I didn't have class. 

Yesterday, I spent my time finishing my final project. I worked from 12 - 6 PM.

We presented our projects at 6 - 10, I think I did well. I'll post it up soon, but i realized i put Deanna's last name as Tam... I need to change it to Chan. 

Tomorrow I have a final ( Weds) at 10:30 AM. It shouldn't be too bad. 

I am a bit worried about my Thursday final. 

Today I made zucchini and pasta for dinner. It was good. =) 

Filming

Filming at Deanna's office today. Trying to make a mini-documentary on fashion. 

Going to wake up early and get to Irvine by 11:00.

YOGURTLAND!

Soooo I finally went to the Yogurtland that cousin Ester owns. (don;t know how to spell her name) =..=

Auntie Teresa said she owned an Ice Cream Shop, but when i asked Ester what the name and address was of her place, she replied with the address and "Yogurtland".

I got sooo excited because I a a HUGE fan of Yogurtland. 

I met the son (also my nephew), Noah, and he was helping out at the store. 

The place is beautiful, similar to most Yogurtlands. I got to tour the back where everything was made. It's small but so cool =)

FIRE!

It smells so bad down here. FIRE again. This time 20 mins away from South Gate. Winston and Deanna have to evacuate. Not sure where they going, probably Deanna's parent's house.

Yes, this needed a change. =)

Well today was quite productive. My group and I read out sitcom script today. My teacher loved it. It was a long process, but we did it. 

I came up with alot of the ideas and some of my other group members came up with the dialogue. Not too in-touch with comedy, so I let them handle most of the writing, I just assisted in the construction. haha It turned out very well. =)

Script writing

Had scriptwriting class today.

Finished a group script for a sitcom. It was difficult, but fun. Next week we need to do a reading. 

Finished project #2 in editing class. I still need that updates Final Cut Pro. Need to ask my friend.

project #2

So, I went to Mass today at some Cathedral downtown. Had to film for an interview. My person is an artist who is posting his exhibit at this Cathedral. It is the main one for Downtown Los Angeles, very pretty. I filmed the blessing and an interview afterwards.

I got my own badge and got to know the Cathedral's event manager. It was fun and I got what I needed and left.

Update: I think my wisdom teeth are coming out. HURTS! but for only like 4 days, then it stopped... Stopped growing? mmm? Not sure.,

birthday

yay for birthdays.

DMV

i will be renewing my license. I hope I don't look too bad for my picture. @.@

P.S. - studied all day outside in the school's starbucks area.

I made an appointment for the DMV to renew my license. On Thursday 9:50AM .

Screening

Today i'm screening my first project. I hope it goes well and no technical problems!!

Weekend

Spent weekend at Irvine. We saw Phil Wickham in concert! He was at a church that was holding an event to celebrate their remodeling or something.

Porter Ranch Fire: Sesnon Fire

School might start smelling like smoke if the winds keeps picking up. =.=

The fire is around 30 miles from my school.

Editing

Currently spending lots of time in the lab to do editing. Sad when you go in and there is a class going on, then you must wait till they end in order to go inside. I have to present my work on monday. Cram Cram!

Going to Irvine on Saturday to watch a school play and a free concert at another church : Phil Wickham is going to perform .

The Weekends

Went to The Getty and Chinatown with my aunt to film for class project. It was dark and sprinkling on and off.

We made pocket-sized -apple-pies. =) and with the left over oil we fried those crispy shrimp chips.

We deep fried the apple pies for a little while, just to get it golden brown all around and then we stuck them into the oven to cook thoroughly. It was delicious!!

Night Class #2

Today's night class was quite eventful. We had a film viewing and then talked about the play we watched lat week. Our teacher was directing a play in Hollywood's sunset theater. It was quite a touching play. =)

It is 98 degrees here in South Gate. I FINALLY got the textbook that I ordered online. Got alot of reading to catch up on.

I need to go back to Getty's Museum to do some filming. Maybe for this saturday. I also need to explore LA's Chinatown, might need to film some things there. I hope it is like SF's Chinatown.

P.S. I finished the Chinese Drama. =)

Might move into dorms, felt bad about installing internet at my aunt's. But it was much needed.

Night Class

Today was fun.

Met a freshman. She told me about the dorms.

-8 girls
-4 rooms
-one kitchen
-two fridges, microwave, dishwasher etc...
-(didn't ask about the bathrooms)

seemed okay.

The class was interesting. I might need a MAC pro and Finals Cut Pro. But for now, i have to find hours in which a class isn't in the computer lab.

I'm excited about the projects. I want to film at the Getty's Museum.

Good Day

Second day of school.

Meh, it was alright. Love the school, some people in my class were a bit too talkative though. (one downer)

I got approached by three asians:

Girl:"Do you speak chinese?"
Me: "I speak Cantonese"

---I thought I had to help translate.

In fact they were inviting me to their church. ahha Odd was to start off the conversation.

We'll I gave them my info and got theirs. We'll see though, seems alright... ( plus side: In Alhambra, semi-far, but good food )

Last Day Before School Starts

Yes, I went to Irvine to visit Grace and Ashley to eat all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ. MMMM pork belly!!!

Finals

studying for finals all this weekend! @.@

Had a "goodbye" dinner with the koreans at Maggiano's a ITalian restaurant similar to Bucca. Tey paid for me and grace, how nice.

We took pictures and talked about the experience in America.

Fun but back to studying!

Grace took me to eat healthy soup on Friday, and then went to a bakery and bought yummy things hah.

Saturday went to UCLA with Grace (bad frat neighborhood area) to visit and chill with Stacy.

Went to UCR,UCI, and UCSD. Went with Grace, Vicki, Anthony, Spencer, Henry, and Carolina.

btw… UCR breakfast is the best!

Later we went with Emily , Maggie, Carolina, Henry,Grace, and Vicki to P.B. (Beach..er.. forgot the “full” name). Very nice shops, BUT! it was cold, beach wasn’t that pretty since it was dark.

Later we all ate Japanese!
